DLANC ELECTION
When: June 12, 2008, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: The Los Angeles Theater at 615 S. Broadway
(6th and Broadway)
How to vote:
It is simpler to vote in the Neighborhood Council election than in the general election. Voter registration is by “self affirmation” so you declare if what stakeholder group you are and then vote for those candidates. If you don’t know, the election staff can help to answer your questions.
Haven't filled out your Vote-By-Mail ballot? You can bring it to the polling location and it will be counted.
Who are the Candidates?
The Department of Neighborhood Empowerment’ website on the election seems to be down this morning. As an alternative visit the City Clerk’s website at http://cityclerk.lacity.org/election/ and scroll to the lower right hand side of the screen. You will see a link to “Neighborhood Council Elections”
From this link you should be able to view the complete list of candidates.
The City Clerk’s office will also have the full list and submitted Candidate Statements on view at the election site.
We hope that you take the time during ArtWalk to vote in the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council election. DLANC has grown into a significant grassroots example of neighborhood empowerment.
